I’m Ben, founder of DrivenByDetail. With over a decade of hands-on experience in the automotive industry, I’ve built my career around precision, care, and maintaining consistently high standards.
Alongside real-world experience, I have completed professional training with UBV Ltd — one of the UK’s leading vehicle detailing training institutions. This ensures that the techniques, products and processes I use are not only effective, but also safe, proven and aligned with current industry best practice. Ongoing development and correct methodology are essential when working on modern paint systems and high-value vehicles, and I take that responsibility seriously.
Over the years, working with a wide range of vehicles and conditions, I came to realise that truly high-quality vehicle care requires time, control and attention to detail. That’s what led me to create DrivenByDetail — a premium vehicle detailing and enhancement studio based in North Harbour, Eastbourne.
DrivenByDetail was built to offer a professional service where quality is never rushed and every vehicle receives the level of care it deserves. I operate from a fully equipped, climate-controlled studio that has been purpose-built specifically for detailing and paint correction work. This controlled environment allows me to work with precision and consistency, delivering reliable results regardless of weather or external conditions.
My approach is centred around quality, honesty and attention to detail. Every vehicle is assessed individually, and services are tailored to suit its condition, how it’s used and the owner’s expectations. I believe in doing things properly — without shortcuts — and focusing on long-term results rather than quick fixes.
From routine maintenance washes and interior detailing through to advanced machine polishing, ceramic coatings, paint protection film and styling enhancements, all work is carried out using proven techniques and carefully selected products. I use Cartec’s biodegradable cleaning range alongside Performance PPL ceramic coatings to ensure effective, durable and environmentally responsible vehicle care.
